We are able to carry out asbestos surveys and re-inspections in accordance with HSE guidelines and comply with the duty to manage in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
NG Associates (UK) has a wide range of experience in carrying out asbestos surveys on all types of properties including domestic, commercial and industrial sites. We are happy to undertake projects of any size.
There are three different types of asbestos survey and the survey you require will depend on your asbestos management plan and what you intend to do with the building. We are accredited to undertake management, refurbishment and demolition surveys and are able to advise you which survey would be most appropriate for your needs.
All type of surveys will locate and record the locations, extent and type of asbestos containing material (ACM) as far as is reasonably practicable, inspect and record information on the condition of surface treatment of the ACM’s and finally determine and record the asbestos type through sampling and analysis.
All information from the survey will be presented to you as an asbestos report which includes:
– an asbestos register,
– sample location photographs
– drawings of your site with sample points and extent of any asbestos clearly indicated,
– a building survey register
– a certificate of analysis for any sample taken
Over time, asbestos containing materials can degenerate, weather or be accidentally damaged thereby causing the risks posed by this material to change substantially. As part of your controlled regular asbestos management programme, our surveyors can re-inspect any previously surveyed property to update the information held on the asbestos register, and to ensure that any asbestos present remains in a safe condition that will not pose a risk to any building occupants.
Re-inspections can be done as a one-off survey or you may wish to have us conduct a re-inspection at your convenience over a 3, 5 or 10 year period. We would advice that re-inspections take plan on an annual basis but also if you have any concerns over an asbestos containing material to get it inspected as soon as possible.
